Take-A-Bite of Maple Tradition cook-off is a new event at the Maple in April Festival April 27. Maple syrup is nature’s healthful sweeter. It contains minerals, vitamins and necessary amino acids. The use of 100% maple syrup is limited only by your imagination. For a healthier and flavorful alternative, try maple syrup in place of white sugar.
The Festival Committee is seeking chefs to participate in the Maple Tradition cook-off event by whipping up their best dish using maple syrup and entering it Saturday, April 27 at the Maple in April Festival, along Rockwell Street, Hadley. The general public will be judging the contest. It will be blind voting so the public will vote by taste and not the popularity of the chef. Winners will be announced at 3:45 p.m. at the Take-A-Bite site. The winning entree will receive a Blue Ribbon, the bragging rights for the best tasting entree and their photo with their recipe in the local newspapers.
